GP Awards

What are the GP Awards?
Cambridge University GPSoc developed the GP Awards scheme in 2018. Students are asked to nominate the GP practices at which they have had a particularly good experience when on placement, as well as to put forward individual GP tutors for teaching excellence prizes. All nominees will receive a certificate of recognition with their names entered onto a graphic publicised on social media. Additionally, prizes will be awarded for the overall best practice and particularly outstanding GP tutors. The GP Awards serve to formally acknowledge the outstanding work of so many GP practices partnering with Cambridge University, as well as feeding into the wider aim of promoting general practice as a career path to be celebrated amongst student doctors.

GP Awards 2020-21

Thank you to all Cambridge students who nominated GP practices and tutors in recognition of their hard work, especially in the current circumstances.

We announced the winners and nominees at our conference, Power and Responsibility in Medicine (7th March 2021).
